Effects of 5-Fluorouracil, Methotrexate and Retinoic acid on Cell Cycle in Murine Fibrosarcoma

Abstract
|

|
The effects of 5-fluorouracil, methotrexate and retinoic acid an cell cycle cf marine fibrosarcoma implanted in C◎Hf/Sed mouse were studied.
To elucidate the relationship between antitumor effects of antirancer drugs and the population of cell in S phase were studied with flow cytometry.
The obtained results were summarized as follows :
1. S phase fraction of the tumor cell was significantly decreased in the implanted fibrosareoma cell treated with 5-fluarouracil, methotrexate and retinoic acid.
2. Synergistic effects of anticancer drugs were shown in the implanted fibrosarcoma cells treated with 5-fluorouracil and methotrexate, and 5-fluorouracil and retinoie acid simultaneously.
